Another Bootleg for you all in the file sharing Widget on the homepage, this one called "Colour Me Pop." It sounds like it's a radio show or at least partly and has some interesting different versions of "Rhinocratic oaths" as well as other things.

Colour Me Pop was a late-60's music show on BBC2. It had the best music and tried to be more adventurous than other music shows of the time. Very hippy/psychedelic. My favourite show was the Small Faces one where they played most of Ogden's Nut Gone, including the whole of the Happiness Stan story that took up side 2 - with Stanley Unwin narrating. The music was usually prerecorded (or taken from the original recordings) with only the vocals being done live - particularly noticable when Stanley Unwin's gobbledigook varies noticably from the original. Amazingly the whole of the Small Faces show is now available on youtube starting here: uk.youtube.com/watch?v=zXlWKy3UxAMDeep joy.

I thought it was TV show but this really does sound like a radio show, or more like something they might have done on do not adjust your set where there's sketches as well.

Having some issues uploading all of the 14 files, 7 of them are up, I've contacted the site so hopefully the problem will be resolved quickly. If anyone is having any trouble downloading them let me know.

How well I remember the Colour Me Pop featuring the Bonzo's. I was so desperate to get a video of the whole episode I went so far as E-mailing the Beeb to see if they would issue not only the Bonzo's episode but the whole series. I never even received a reply back from them. I did learn later that most of the tapes had been destroyed. But I do remember that a lot of the show was taken up by sketches woven in with the music. It was really brilliant and very cutting edge at the time. It's too bad that all that remains are the audio portions of the show but I suppose that's better than nothing as i was led to believe that even that much did not exist. Well time to start downloading from the home page.

So it was a TV show, everyone said it was and I've seen clips of it on youtube, wondered why this was just audio. Now I know.
