recently came across an album by Leona Anderson called "Music To Suffer By" (1957). Sounds like a female impersonator, but everything I've read about her insists she's a woman. Her talent for exquisitely bad music was heralded by American comedians Ernie Kovacs and Bob Elliott & Ray Goulding. Some of her stuff is on YouTube.

There's something deeply satisfying about finding the absolute worst of something, isn't there? I'm always typing 'worst album cover', 'worst film', 'worst music video' into Google. Hours of fun!

I don't think she's the worst singer I've ever heard though. Far too tuneful!
