I work for public television in Maine, USA, and am happy to report that the Bonzos' work lives on. A national Public Broadcasting program called "History Detectives" (don't know if it's seen abroad) recently used two snippets of Bonzo music in a story about old Mickey Mouse toys. The story was about a character similar to Mickey, whose name was Micky (sic). The investigators were researching whether or not Disney got his idea for Mickey from seeing Micky, who predated Mickey by 2 years. Short bits of period music (20's and 30's) were used in the background, and among them were "Jollity Farm" and "Tubas In The Moonlight". I smiled widely, as the music was as welcome as it was when I first heard Gorilla some 43 years ago. Funny they didn't use "Mickey's Son & Daughter!?"

Great to hear! I think successive generations will continue to use the Bonzos' music to represent a mystical, wacky and bygone era.

You hear bonzo's music in TV shows quite a lot in the UK, in "heart beat" and it's spin off "The Royal" I've noticed it quite a lot as well as on other shows.
