As soon as I hear anything I'll post it, looks like they are remaining tight lipped, apparently those with tickets received a letter word for word of what was on the website.

I'm going to see the Bill Posters Will Be Band on Thursday, so I'll see if Sam Spoons is willing to spill the beans. I must say, a real disappointment - those gigs were going to make my Christmas.

Several people I've spoken too had booked hotels too, so they've lost money even if the tickets are still valid for the next gig, not good at all for the Bonzo's come back, I hope they haven't fallen out again already.

Good news is that the concerts have not been rescheduled because any of the Bonzos are ill. Sam confirmed that they are all in good health and had a pre-meeting recently to plan the sets for the concerts. The Bonzos were advised by the promoters that the concerts have been cancelled because of a dispute between them and the Shepherd's Bush Empire. Apparently the theatre considered that not enough tickets were sold and were moving the Friday night sales to the Saturday without reference to the promoters, so Bob Carruthers (the promoter) cancelled the whole thing! Sam said the management had told them no more and that they were all very disappointed at letting the fans down.

Generally speaking this kind of dispute is NOT good to publicize in writing - it's better for it to get about as "heresay." SBE should not be changing anything about the dates without the consultation and agreement of the management and the talent; if the contract is written in such a way that they can, it is a bad contract (that is, bad for the talent!). The Bonzos are seasoned pros at this though and too, er, senior to be mucked about with.
(Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV!)
