One of the Doo Dah Diaries team (Ellis Creez) pointed out that Bob Kerr's website makes reference to a Bonzos tour taking place in October. Now lets all cross our fingers at the same time....

And we haven't even handed the petition yet, yay, it still stands that things aren't promoted well enough for those fans who don't use the Internet though so I shall carry on trying to collect signatures. And do you have link to Bob Kerrs web site? I've just done a brief search and it's not that easy to find, in fact the only site I could find that seemed to mention it was in German.

There is an English option on Bob Kerr's website. There is of course a link to Bob's website on my Doo Dah Diaries website ("Smoke Signals At Night" page) If Sam Spoons is at the Bill Posters gig on Thursday I will ask him if he knows anything. Cheers David

I did finally find the English version of the site, but can't find any mention of the 2008 dates for the Bonzo's, on the News Page in German it looks like it says something about it but I'm not sure as my German isn't that good. Post any information you get, we're all waiting on tenterhooks to find out when these gigs will be re-scheduled. Neil is going to America it seems though and the other band members obviously have othe commitments so I hope there is time for the Bonzo's to do some more gigs this year.

Under gigs on Bob's site it states: "OCTOBER - Watch for details of another Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band Tour in GB" There are dates being posted for Neil Innes doing a tour with Fatso in October, which seems to be strange planning. I'll see if Sam can throw any light on the subject. Cheers David

I guess there might be a small possibility that Fatso could be backing up the Bonzos, much as Neil had originally anticipated having the Rutles (or a version thereof) on the Astoria bill.

At the Bill Posters gig last night (excellent as always) Sam said there is nothing definite in place yet. There will definitely be two London gigs at some point, and there has been talk in the band of a possible tour, but as I say, nothing definite. I can only assume Neil has decided to go ahead with his Fatso tour rather than continue to wait and see what happens with the Bonzos. Good news is that "Pour L'Amour Des Chiens" may not be in the charts but has been selling well. David

It's always London . I can understand that they don't want to travel much but it would be nice if they played somewhere else for a change.

Glad to hear the album is selling well, I thought it sounded like Neil was committed elsewhere this year (the beginning of the year anyway) so the gigs will probably be later in the year. I hope they do tour again, and do more venues along the south coast, like Portsmouth or Southampton for example.
