It's been a while since I was last here and it looks like it's not just my life that has changed. I must admit, this blue background does make things a bit easier to look at. Anyway, I thought I'd let folks here (especially Captain Bonobo ) know that things have returned to normal (?!) here at Moosehead Towers and that I'm allowed to talk to people again. To cut a very long story very short: the kids are still autistic, but both back at school, Social Services no longer want to take them into care, accusing my wife and I of abusing them, but are now giving us all the help they can to try to make up for all the damage they've done. We're now both unemployed and skint, but are looking forward to life becoming fun again in the next few years. The Bonzos not cancelling any more gigs would help... Thanks to everyone who sent messages of support when all this started, sorry I couldn't explain back then.

Good to see you back I did wonder what had happened but see why you couldn't say at the time, glad the situation is resolved now anyway. I'm hopefully going to make it to the Brighton three bonzo's and a piano gig in December or the one in January, but I too am skint so I can't be sure which one yet. From what I've heard it sounds like the whole band aren't actually planning to play together again ever, I hope that's an exaggeration or they change their minds as I still have never seen them along with many others.

I ought to add that the accusations weren't to with anything that had happened, just that the symptoms for Asperger's Syndrome are now identical to those of child abuse according to the NHS. Also the specialist concerned was one of the people who discovered/invented Munchausen's Syndrome, so he has a vested interest in accusing people. As he did in Cleveland, where over 120 kids were taken away from their families, 7 were found to have been abused, but none of the 120+ were ever returned to their families...
Scary times.
But...
Sometimes you can just win.

Oh moosie, I am so sorry to hear even that small horrifying inkling of what your family has been through. And VERY happy to hear that it appears cooler heads have prevailed and things are now moving in a more positive direction. Welcome back!

That's a true horror story, I'm just flabbergasted. It must have been hellish. So glad it worked out, and welcome back.

A bit belated but welcome back Moosehead. ;D So glad everything has been sorted out for you.
I've not been on for a while but it's been pesky viruses in my case.
