I am having problems getting my avatar to show up on my posts. I just recently added it, so I went to the Happy Holidays thread that I originally posted and put in a reply just to see if my custom avatar was there. No go. At first I put in an animated gif avatar, then I thought maybe the board won't take that, so I put in a motionless avatar. Every time I go back to my profile, the URL box is empty. Thanks for any help.

Most peculiar. The most likely reason I can think of is that when you've changed your avatar (and yes, animated gifs are fine), you've missed putting your password in twice at the top of the page before okaying it at the bottom. Yes I know it's bizarre and unusual, but this is a Bonzos forum...
If that's not it, get back to us and we'll see what else can be going doolally.

Actually, I've had the same problem with mine in the past. I've put the passwords in etc. but it still disappears... My avatars work on other boards but not this one

When you change your avatar you have to type in your password twice at the top of the page before you click save, that's all I can suggest. the board does support moving avatars mine was until I changed it, it was PNG image maybe they work better?

I've never needed to put my password in to get my avatar to work, can't think why it won't take tho mine are taken from the internet and not from my computer.

That's a point Rockalizer have you tried saving the picture to your computer and uploading it directly to the board? try that and remember to type in your password twice.
Also is the image the right size? It can't be any bigger than 100 by 100 pix, if it was an moving file the image size in MB might have been too big too.
