Y'all watched Michael Palins' "Ripping Yarns" from the '70's? Certainly one of my favourite comedy TV shows. If you've not seen them then I recommend you go out and rent 'em and prepare for an evening of guts ache.
I'm not sure how many episodes there were now, 9? Some of the titles still stick with me "The Curse of the Claw", "Tomkinson's Schooldays", Whinfreys' Last Case" and "The Testing of Eric Olthwaite". Oh, and "Crossing the Andes by Frog". All are half hour shows co-written by Palin and Terry Jones (who appears in one or two episodes).

I remember "the curse of the claw" especially the bit where the old man is pulling dead rats out of the drain for some reason. My school library had a book of it too I'll have to find out if it's still available. I don't know if it's just dejavu but I'm sure there is already thread about this somewhere on here.

You're right, I searched and found the older thread though nothing much got said. More an announcement that it was due on TV again.
Ah, yes, the rats scene, pretty good eh? Isn't that Uncle Jack who collects diseases?

Yes I remember something about diseases, and he had a horrible cough. Just had a look on youtube and there's a lot of clips from it on there, I'll see if I can find the right one. Just looked for the DVD on amazon too and it seems they released a box set but three episodes were missing and people were angry. Now however there is a better DVD set with all of them and a commentary. So if you are going to buy it on DVD make sure you buy "The Complete Ripping Yarns" and not the box set.
