Except for being a fan of the Bonzo's, I like the Rutles very much too. Some time ago I received from a friend a non-labelled CD, that was just called 'The Rutles Rehearsals'. Searching the Internet there wasn't a lot of information about this one, except for the list of songs. Does anyone have more information?

I've not heard of that one either, it must be a bootleg. I have an album called "The Rutles Last Tea Party Tapes" but that was an official release I think.

The only two "official" Rutles releases AFAIK are the original and Archeaology.
(So who are the lucky gals who get to see Neil singing Rutles songs in Chicago in August then? Rok and me, that's who! Anyone else going?)

It seems that this CD was released in 1997 by a company named Goldtone, issue number GT-103. There were 1,000 handnumbered copies. Songs 1-17 were studio rehearsals in London 1978. Songs 18-21 happened to be songs from 'All you need is cash'.

Thanks for sending the links. The Bonzo site of Ian Kitching is not new to me, because I use it as my own 'Bonzo bible' for several years now. The other link was not necessary to me because I got the complete CD. In the meanwhile I know how the cover and back cover looked like. I found the pictures somewhere on the internet. Thanks anyway!

Both "The Rutles Last Tea Party Tapes" and "Rehearsals" are bootlegs.
As graytart said, the only two officially released albums are "The Rutles" and "Archaeology"
