Has anyone else read these yet?
There is quite alot of Bonzo related info in there, especially about Neil, as their families are quite close and there seems to be a mutual respect.
Neil wrote a load of music for the Holy Grail film that was replaced by 'stock' music.
I wonder what this sounded like, as they weren't 'songs'

Really? How dare they!
I haven't got the diaries yet, but theres a lot of entries from it in this Python book I have which are pretty funny. Would you recommend it then?

I have read them - good stuff. Tales of filming the Grail, road tales of their tours, many good times. Also contains a bizarre story about director Ian McNaughton getting drunk and obstructive at a series 4 Python meeting, which is probably related to why Neil never became an "official" Python. The reason why some of Neil's Grail music was rejected wasn't because they didn't like it. It was because their budget was too skimpy to have it orchestrated properly, and in editing they found they needed a richer, more impressive sound. So they replaced a lot of it with stock music. edited to say: wander on over to neilinnes.org to neilinnes.org/python/python.htmand specifically neilinnes.org/python/films.htmfor a sample of his Grail music and lots of other good stuff.
