A site dedicated to preserving all the recordings Vivian Stanshall made, I could get lost for days in here it really is an amazing site. www.vivarchive.org.uk/intro.htmThe background for this forum came from there site, so thanks to them for that.

We're about to update the Vivarchive site, so any suggestions, complaints, requests or colour schemes would be more than welcome. There's probably a 'contact us' button somewhere here www.vivarchive.org.uk/intro.htmor if you want it to be read you could send a message to me here on the board. Off to discuss ideas with Rupert this weekend.

I think the site is great. Can mere Canadians join?

Certainly, though I think you'll be our first. There are a few folks from the States already. Unfortunately, due to a f**kwit torrenting one of the more copyright-sensitive CDs, we've had to suspend lending anything from the archive for a bit, and it looks like we have lost access to loads more of Viv's stuff. I won't say any more as I'm just too $*£@*&% angry at the moment.

Well, it's an endeavour worth supporting in any case, lolly or no lolly. Instructions on the site then? Paypal?

Paypal? That's one of them newfangled interthingy wotsits, isn't it? Unfortunately that's a bit too sophisticated for us. On the intro page www.vivarchive.org.uk/intro.htmis a link - 'SHARE application' which takes you to a pdf document. Print it off, fill it in and we'll send you a Welcome Pack.

Hey, it says Paypal on that form, Buster!

Could you just file that under 'Sounded Like a Good Idea At The Time', please?
I could give you Paypal details, but then I'd have to kill you you'd have bought a piano, and you wouldn't want that, now would you? [The only folks I've done Paypal links for are a piano retailer]
A slightly curly and powdery fiver will do fine, and so much easier.

I hate to break this to you, moosie, but we here in Canada, although still proudly part of the Commonwealth, have been a sovereign nation with our own currency for some time now... I will do a money order then. Expect you might need a bit extra for postage as well.

I hate to break this to you, moosie, but we here in Canada, although still proudly part of the Commonwealth, have been a sovereign nation with our own currency for some time now... I knew a comic writer/artist from Canada who wrote off his UK tour because he hadn't realised the above and so hadn't bothered to get a passport.

Six months for that witty retort, but you never disappoint... Ah, well, this reminds me that I still have not found that wrinkled retainer I promised you... I must see what I can do. Has the price gone up? Do I need to send additional for shippage cross the pond?

Has the price gone up? Do I need to send additional for shippage cross the pond? Nope and only for things that you borrow from the archive, postage of the newsletters is included (unless you don't have a computer and we have to print the whole thing out). Good to see I'm not the only ditherer.
