I read somewhere that they are planning a DVD of the film of "Sir Henry at Rawlinsons End". I'm happy about this as I've never seen the film. I'll look for more info and post later.

Upon Searching I can't find anymore evidence of the DVD coming out this year, this is the page where I read about it. www.orthogonal.com.au/music/bonzo/index.htmApparently a company called "Charisma" are releasing it.

I also heard about this earlier in the year although I havnt subsequently seen anything to confirm it. If I remember correctly Charisma were the original owners of this, not sure if they still exist. Went to the official launch party at the back end of last year, it was great boozy fun. Chatted with several of the actors, confused Paul Merton and had a long talk with Neil Innes (who has to be the most charming man on the planet!). Steve Roberts introduced it with Neil's quote about the film being "written by drunks, starring drunks and directed by a drunk" and then adding "and best viewed by drunks!" He was right. Still a brilliant movie. Get it while you can.

I only recently saw it for the first time so must get the DVD, does it have any exciting extras?

No extras on the first pressing, I'm told, but if there is a second pressing it will include interviews with various folk from the launch do (just getting suitably squiffy when a couple of charming young women come up, thrust a video camera in your face and say "Don't look at the camera!" Very surreal) Oh, yes, and our animations. And if there isn't a second pressing, the Viv archive will hassle the nice people at Charisma for copies of everything.
