I preferred it when Mark Lamar presented it and they did old songs in the which song game, and they've changed the beginning credits. It's become soulless and boring now it's changing, even when they have good guests the new presenter isn't experienced enough, last time I saw him he was doing kids TV. They are obviously trying to appeal to a younger audience but I miss the old Buzzbiscuits.
The episode with Noel Fielding was funny but even Phil Jupitus looks like he's not enjoying as much, and Bill Bailey isn't even there which says a lot.

I agree totally! Mark Lamarr made the show his own (well he was the producer) and the new format is just not the same. Bill Bailey seems to have his finger in many pies just now. He appears on QI with Stephen Fry which is worth a look if you haven't seen it. Phil Jupitus also makes guest appearances, the last of which he was very quiet.

I must admit that buzzbiscuits was never on my 'must see' list, but I used to enjoy it when I managed to catch it. But this new whippersnapper of a host is just painful to watch, trying too hard to be outrageous and trying to make a name for himself.
Like HIGNFY, the earlier series were much funnier because the contestants were trying harder to make us laugh. Over the years complacency seems to have set in and there's little new in either series.
In fact there's very little TV comedy that i find funny these days (yes, I'm a boring old fart) because it all seems to be aimed at the lowest common denominator. Every joke signposted for several minutes of padding before getting to the predictable punchline or pratfall. I remember reading an interview with a scriptwriter who said that up to the 80's if there wasn't a joke at least every 20 seconds, the script was considered a failure. Whereas now once a minute seems the norm and the same jokes appear week after week. Builders talking posh till a woman walks by? An amusing idea once, a painful lack of imagination to repeat it in every episode of the series.

I like QI when I see it but I think this series is clashing with something else I watch, I love Stephen Fry, I wish they would repeat "A bit Of Fry And Laurie" it was one of the funniest things on telly in the 80's.

All the QIs have been posted on YouTube, which is the only way we poor deprived colonials can see them.

I agree, Buzzbiscuits just isn't the same without Mark. He was just so damn mean!
"Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?" "Believe me, if I had a gun in my pocket, I WOULD be pleased to see you"
Wouldn't it've been great if he had still been presenting the show when that idiot Donny Tourette was on there - he would've torn strips off him!
