So now she's bleached her hair blonde, I think it just makes her look more pale and ill she looked much better as a brunette. I hope she manages to get her career back on track this year and loses that useless husband of hers. I agree, she looks better as a brunette. I think she may have dumped her useless husband. According to the News of the Screws she has been seen getting jiggy with Mark Ronson. A good move, or out of the frying pan?

Why isn't she called 'Amy Housewine'. Seeing one of her addictions, it looks like a better name for her!

'Perhaps she is a vampire, and never drinks wine?' I think that in one night Amy can drink the complete yearly production of an average French wine chateau!
And yes, I found a tiny little link between the careers of the Bonzo's and Amy. Guess...

I watched a documentary about her in a series they doing on channel 4 called "what really happened". The conclusion seemed to be she puts herself through all this drug abuse and the bad relationships to make herself suffer so she has inspiration for her songs. It's extreme what some artists have to do just to make music, hopefully she's gone far enough now and will write an album telling about what it's like to come back from all that's happened to her. She's also meant to be writing the next James Bond film song that will be interesting if it happens.

Oh, come on: you shouldn't be dead to write about death! I'm curious about the title of the new Bond song. Will it be 'You only live once' or 'A needle to kill'? No, for me she's just a media hype, just like Paris Hilton.

she does have a good voice and I like the style of music she uses, people forget she's a singer because of all the hype around her personal life. Janis Joplin Sandy Denny and all the others didn't have to put up with this till way after they were dead and it didn't matter then really.

That may be what she wants people to think, somehow justifying her addicitions, but it's still junkie crap, blaming other people. I heard she was kicked off the Bond project. Good for them. Ali, what is her Bonzo connection?

Her connection with the Bonzo's? As you know the Bonzo's did a gig in the Paradiso in Amsterdam in 1969. Amy did there a concert too on February 8th, 2007. There were six songs recorded and issued as a bonus CD 'Back to Black - Live from Amsterdam'.
For those foreigners who think that Dutch walk on wooden shoes, live in windmills and don't know the Paradiso: 'Paradiso is one of Amsterdam’s best-loved live music centers — and a top destination for music lovers from all over the Netherlands and beyond. The venue is located just a stone’s throw from Leidseplein — a bustling nightlife and and tourist center. Formerly a church, the neogothic building has been dubbed the ‘Pop Temple.’ Inside is a large dance floor with a balcony on either side. The original stained glass windows have seen and heard such top acts as the Rolling Stones, Velvet Underground, Macy Gray, James Brown, Beck, Justin Timberlake, Lenny Kravitz, Sex Pistols, David Bowie, Prince, Willie Nelson, The Police, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam and Nirvana. Many of these bands started their European carreer in the Paradiso. Paradiso was born during the hippie years of the late Sixties. The venue opened its doors in 1968. At the time it was subsidized as a ‘youth entertainment center’ by the city’s rulers — eager to give the hippies who were overrunning nearby Vondelpark an alternative hangout. Small wonder, then, that this was one of the first places in the Netherlands where the sale and use of soft drugs was tolerated. While Paradiso was once synonymous with the rock music of the hippie counterculture, it has charted every music trend ever since. A much smaller hall upstairs often hosts unknown acts well before they make it big. Meanwhile the Pop Temple offers an eclectic mix of music: jazz, fusion, garage, ska, latin, funk, soul… The hall has been filled with Maroccan dance music, an Elvis Presley Church Service, and even some contemporary classical music. In addition it sees performance art and some lectures.'

Ali, what is her Bonzo connection? It's not her who came to that conclusion, it's the journalist who did the TV show. I think she is still doing the Bond thing too, I hope she does it will be good, not that I've watched a bond movie for the years, the modern ones aren't the same.

Just heard she's doing the new James Bond song with "The Pet Shop Boys", that should be interesting.
