The first is "Big Shot, Through The Canyons Of Viv's Mind" by Stephen Fry. www.fast-files.com/getfile.aspx?file=17586If this link tells you to download something calle Zango, don't do it it's spyware! Try This link instead. www.filefactory.com/file/407e5f/It's long but worth it. ;D It contains lots of interviews with people who knew Viv including John Peel and Neil Innes, there's also clips of Viv's various radio shows including the ones with Keith Moon.

The first one is very sad towards the end when they talk about his final days, and he did die horribly. What a shame he wasn't isn't around to see the internet and how much we all love him. Still a great documentary though wish they had made a TV show. There's supposed to be a new DVD about the band being made, haven't heard anything about it though.

Pffft, it keeps asking me to install something called Zanga and I really don't want another crappy toolbar or anything on my computer. GAH! Is there no other way (without having to install something else)?

I've just googled zango which is I think what you mean and it's spyware so don't download it. Are you sure there's no way to avoid it? Is it just a pop up you can close? There's a turing number to enter to start the download in the bottom left hand corner.

Theres no way round it - it's not a pop up, theres no box to enter a number. It takes up the whole screen...has no one else had this?

One person has downloaded it already I assume it's graytart I'll ask her about it. Are both links doing it? you should go to a page called fast files, that's where the files are. Do you use firefox? I do and I had no trouble with the site.

Yeah I use firefox, I've tried both links, and I already tried going to the page - theres only a box there to upload stuff to.
If I wasn't such a grown up I'd crumple onto the floor and weep.

What exactly happens when you click the links? I'll email the web master of the site see if I can get response.

No problems with it here (but then again I am on a Mac). It sounds to me as if your computer might already be infected, and that there's something on the site that's triggering your problems. Then again I'm on a mac, so am useless at viruses/virusses/viri. I take that back! On clicking the first link, amongst the usual connecting to and waiting for various ad managers, it also contacted 'public.zangocash' so I had a look at the source code and came up with this: "http://fast-files.powered-by.zango.com" The Wikipedia page on Zango should be warning enough to warn you off. Sorry Nancy, but I'd find a new transfer site (like megaupload) if I were you.

The webmaster sent me a link to this post: support.brightforums.com/ftopic142.phpAre you clicking the link or pasting it Kattsay? I told him you were clicking it and it's still asking you to download Zango and I'm waiting for his reply. I'm also just about to edit the post to see if Using the URL button makes any difference, try clicking them again just to check.

I used Safari on an iMac and don't recall any suspicious pop-ups or warnings.

I'm on windows XP service pack PC and I go straight to the file if I click the link, it's a strange one. The web master of the site is looking into it and is trying to fix it.

He sent me this message:
Proboards.com is not supported by our service. We currently have contracts with pro-forums.com, sinisterforums.com, and brightforums.com.
Sorry. But you’ll have to install the Zango toolbar in order to use our service or switch forum providers.
JT
There's no point switching the whole forum just so we can use fast files, I can't understand why some people are having no problem and you are Kattsay if it really is the case that the site doesn't support pro-boards. It doesn't make sense.
