Did anyone watch last weeks episode of Saxondale with Steve Coogan??? It included the line: "Heres a prescription for The doughnut in Grannys Greenhouse album by The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah band, That should cheer you up!!!!" I wonder if Coogan is also a fan. Maybe he will be one of the surprise guest at the xmas shows??? Lets get the rumour train going!!!!!!

I can't believe I missed it! I watched it the week before but completely forgot. Oh man, it'd be so funny if he joined them on the tour. However, I hear bad things about his backstage habits...

Ahhh, drugs, prostitutes and Courtney Love. The usual. But we can forgive him if he's a Bonzo fan

I've noticed they are using Bonzo's songs in quite a few TV shows but this the first mention of an album in fiction I've heard of. Before we know it they'll have another number one, I recon they should release Stephen Fry doing Rhinocratic Oath as a single.

Was watching another of those top 100000 programmes the other day, Think it was the top 50 scariest movies or something like that. When the end music came on, I was there with a big grin on my face while the missus rolled her eyes in that oh my god style. It was the Tadpoles version of monster mash!!!
Have noticed bonzos music in some adverts too, not just the mr cadburys parrot (has anyone got this on mp3/mov they can email). Cant remember what the advert was for but it was DR Jazz in the background. Can anyone else recall bonzo music in ads???

I think that advert with Dr Jazz on was a CBBC advert cos it got mentioned on here (how sad is it that I remember?).
I haven't heard any on adverts I don't think, but theres a lot of Bonzo stuff on Heartbeat and The Royal. Oh, and I bought a DVD of Bottom the other day and Ade Edmonson says the line "Hello Mabel!" (referring to Rik Mayalls aunt).

Thats it, your right. It was a trailer on cbbc for a programme not an advert. I remember now.
Sad we may be, but we are not alone.....

I've noticed the band in "Heart Beat" and "The Royal" a lot recently too, they are going through a revival it seems. It is good to hear them on the sound tracks of things the music is good for that.

Sorry, but you've just given me the image of Earnest hardworking doctor enters waiting room looking grim: Mrs. Edwards? Mrs. Edwards (worried): How is he Doctor? fade in Bonzo's 'Look Out there's a Monster Coming'

I seem to recall from many, many years back "The Intro And The Outro" being used on a British TV ad too, with re-written lyrics including the line "Wham, Bam Thank You Abraham!" I *think* that again it was for Cadbury's Creme Egg ("How do you eat yours?")
