Wow ! Thanks for the response. I was expecting to wait ages. I will have look through my Bonzo stuff to find an example of what I mean. In the meantime ... Bob Kerr (or more accurately "the Prof") uses two props with this particular mechanism. The tiger's head and another with with three Chinamen on.
No karma is the number below, other people have to give you good karma, you're looking at the post count I gave you a karma point to get you going.
I'm not bothered who you mention on this board as long as it is related in some way to the Bonzo's. If it's not directly about the Bonzo's it's best you post it in the off topic section is all I ask, because we get people doing research come here quite a lot and if the topics are in order it would make it easier for them to find what they want.
The only video I saw with puppet was one that had a bubble machine inside it's head on a recording of the head ballet, if you find a recording that has the puppet you need to know about tell me where I can find it and I'll check it out.
From what you've said it sounds like some kind of simple spring mechanism as I said earlier, if the mouth opens and closes without the operator doing anything, if he's just holding it up , there is probably a small motor involved somehow too.

I was on some other board once that had karma. These little cliques formed. People ganged up on people. Some people, including me, had something like -30 karma ("smite"). It was quite mean spirited. Just a little caution.
New question. Is there a way to get an email notification on watched topics? I looked in my profile, but...
I have never found anything like a "new posts" thing on here, just a "ten most recent" posts link on the front page, which means on days of more activity I tend to miss posts. Moosay and kattsay, what am I doing wrong??
Go straight ahead, turn left at the junction and circle the roundabout 3 times.
Edit: In answer to your question gwood, the nearest thing I can find to that is a bookmark button somewhere on this here page...I don't know that we have anything else I'm afraid

Thanks. Been here twice, and already I'm getting lost. An email notification would be a good reminder of where I've been. I'll try the bookmark.
I have a suggestion. Maybe combine all the Bonzo-related categories into one or two? Or even three? Then have Everything Else/Off Topic. Maybe it's just me, but I like it better when there isn't a whole lot of clicking around. The Neil board is brilliant in this respect!
Edit: "Select a Bookmarking Service:" I don't even want to ask!

You're not doing anything wrong, if its any help the number of recent posts can be enlarged oooeerrrr, if you look in your profile it shows where you have posted.
I 've had a look and proboards don't have e-mail notifications except from moderators, unless Nancy knows.
I'm not bothered about the number of boards but if everybody wants them cut down a bit, then I can't see it being a problem to merge some.
I like all the different boards as it helps to find specific things, like if someone comes here looking for links and downloads they can look in the stuff forum, or if someone wants to talk about the band they can go in the bonzo's board. Or if they want they want talk about the various solo projects band members have done they can go to outside the bonzo's etc. We could merge off topic and dadaism into one but I like a board just for weirdness .

There is a search box at the bottom of the page just make sure you've checked the board and not all the web and you can search or the topic you want, I've tested it it works well.
